Our story.

How Loanweb grew.

Eldo Jacob built Loanweb from Geelong on one idea: every client's financial journey is different, so the right lending starts with understanding where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow.

Even when clients are not ready to borrow yet, the team works with them on a plan to get there. Today Loanweb is three brokers, with offices in Geelong, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, working with clients across Australia.

  1. 2018

Eldo becomes an Accredited Member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australasia (FBAA).

  2. 2019

Eldo's work is first recognised in The Adviser's Australian Broking Awards.

  3. Community

Caring Hearts Geelong, a fundraiser Eldo led with the support of the Geelong Cats, raised $15,000 for people affected by the Shepparton floods.

  4. 2025/26

Recognised in Money Quest Group's Regional Broker of the Year awards, VIC/TAS. Money Quest Group is our aggregator. Eldo is also a member of its Diamond Club and among its Top 50 brokers.

  5. 2026

Sumit Batra joins in Brisbane and Gautam Seth in Adelaide.

When providing credit assistance, a mortgage broker is legally required to act in your best interests.

Mortgage brokers have a legal duty to put your interests first when providing credit assistance.

For home loans, that means we compare options from our lender panel, recommend a loan that suits your needs and objectives, and set out our reasons in writing. For commercial and business lending, which sits outside the consumer credit laws, we work the same way: options compared, costs and security explained, reasons in writing.

Do I pay anything to use a mortgage broker?

For most home loans, no. The lender pays us a commission when your loan settles, and often a smaller ongoing commission while it runs. A fee may apply for loans through a trust, commercial lending or more complex transactions. If a fee applies to you, we tell you the amount in writing before you go ahead, and our credit guide sets out how we are paid.
